Swiss National Science Foundation and GA CR announced the first call on bilateral cooperation on the Lead Agency principle with the SNSF in the role of a Lead Agency.
The Call for Proposals is open to projects proposals within all disciplines and topics of basic research.
Visegrad Grants is a grant program run and financed by the International Visegrad Fund aimed at fostering cooperation between the V4 countries (Czechia, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia).
Proposals are accepted regularly three times per year always by February 1, June 1 and October 1.
New types of project opportunities prepared by the Czech Science Foundation:
JUNIOR STAR Projects - Promoting excellence in young researchers from all areas of basic research and competitiveness in ERC challenges.
Postdoc Individual Fellowship Projects - Promoting internationally competitive researchers in basic research from all areas of basic research. Supporting the international experience of Czech scientist and support for the involvement of foreign scientists in Czech institutions.
The Czech Science Foundation (GA CR) prepares a competition in the framework of bilateral cooperation with the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF).
The SNSF website has already published information with a deadline for the Swiss side: April 1, 2020 at 5 pm. In 2020, proposals will be evaluated only on the Swiss side ("Lead agency" evaluation, in 2021 proposals will be evaluated by GA CR).
In 2020, bilateral and trilateral calls should be launched with the Austrian FWF, the Polish NCN and the Slovenian ARRS. This new cooperation will enable researchers from the Czech Republic, Austria, Poland and Slovenia to carry out scientific projects with new foreign partners on the principle of LA evaluation (max 3-year projects, selection of LA according to the required costs). The relevant rules and public tenders for these LA cooperation project proposals will be published atr the beginning of 2020.
We would like to inform you about the offer of free training for Microsoft applications by the Institute of Computer Science MU.
These trainings are suitable for beginners and also advanced users. The content of the training is adapted to the participants based on the previous agreement and the training area discussed.
The size of the training group is ideal for 5-15 participants.
The time required for one training is about 120 minutes.

An offer of participation in six-week institutes of American studies for university teachers, department heads, curriculum specialists, authors of university (or secondary school) textbooks focused on American studies, international relations and related fields.
Support of cooperation projects of Czech and Austrian educational institutions of the tertiary sector.
The first competition in the KAPPA Programme will be announced on 20 November 2019. The competition period will be 99 days and will close on 27th February 2020.
The aim of this support is to finalise/upgrade an exceptionally high-quality research result which is in an advanced state of development and is limited only by a lack of financial resources.

TA CR informs about the Partner Search Application in the KAPPA Program, funded by the EEA and Norway Funds. The application will extend the existing possibilities to find suitable foreign partners in the area of research and innovation.
Office for Development informs about the preparation of the internal competition of the Masaryk University Development Fund for 2020, which is planned to be announced on September 20, 2019 in the following thematic areas:
A) Academic employee pedagogical activity support and course-level degree programme/field of study profiling and innovation support
B) Creative student activities focusing on educational activity innovation
The European Commission has published an updated version of the H2020 work programmes with calls for 2020 (last year of the Framework Program).
