39 Information from the MU Research Ethics Committee
EKV activities in the period February/March 2026Due to the coincidence of the competition deadlines for the GAČR and AZV grant calls, for capacity reasons, EKV will be able to deal exclusively with the assessment of projects for these calls from the end of February to the beginning of April 2026. The duration of the assessment of other projects will be extended by this period. For applications submitted by 10 February 2026, the assessment will begin in February and any comments on the settlement will probably be sent to the proposer by the end of February. The assessment will then continue after the assessment of projects for the GAČR and AZV calls has been completed, i.e. probably in April. For applications submitted to EKV after 10 February 2026, the assessment will begin only after the assessment of projects for the GAČR and AZV calls has been completed. More precise dates will be known only after the announcement of the AZV and GAČR calls and the determination of the assessment schedule in connection with the duration of the competition deadlines for the individual calls.Recommendations for submitting EKV applicationsWe recommend submitting EKV applications at least 6 weeks before the planned start of the project. In the case of project proposals for grant agencies that do not require submission of approval by the ethics committee for the project proposal, at least 4 weeks before the end of the competition period. The duration of the application assessment is individual depending on the complexity of the assessed project, it depends on the quality and completeness of the submitted documents and, in the case of a comment procedure, it also depends on the responsiveness of the proposer in resolving the committee's comments. -
