Czech Science Foundation (GA CR) - possibility of submitting joint projects with Israel in 2026
The Czech Science Foundation (GA CR) has signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Israel Science Foundation (ISF). Thanks to this cooperation, Czech and Israeli scientists will be able to submit joint project proposals in the field of basic research from 2026.
Proposals will always be evaluated by one agency.
Support is expected for up to several dozen of the best-rated projects, which will be implemented over a period of three years.

THÉTA 2 Program: Announcement of preliminary parameters of the 3rd public competition
TA CR informs about the preparation of the 3rd public competition in the Program for the Support of Applied Research and Innovation – THÉTA 2.
The public competition of the THÉTA 2 program is focused on fulfilling the vision of transformation and modernization of the energy sector in accordance with the approved strategic materials.

Opportunity to present research results - AIU Research Showcase 2025 - Akita International University (Japan)
Centre for International Cooperation MU informs about the possibility of participating in the AIU Research Showcase 2025, organized by Akita International University (Japan).
This is an annual online event where academics from AIU and partner universities can share their current or recent research activities through asynchronous video presentations and thus establish contact with colleagues with similar research interests around the world. The event can help further develop international cooperation (projects, guest lectures, exchanges).

SIGMA Industrial Chairs: preliminary parameters
TA CR is preparing a call for support for applied research and innovation consisting of supporting the recruitment and long-term retention of internationally recognized experts in the field of applied research in research organizations.

TA CR - possibility of additional involvement of foreign researchers in ongoing projects
TA CR offers the possibility of additionally involving an excellent worker newly arrived from abroad in an ongoing project, who will work in the Czech Republic for a long time and can significantly contribute to the solution of the supported project.
These must be researchers who have not previously had an employment relationship with the given organization and have lived abroad for at least three years. This involvement can be implemented through a change management. TA CR will assess the application taking into account the current budgetary situation in individual programs and the contribution of the given researcher to the solution of the project.

The workshop is focused on explaining the purpose & basics of MSCA-PF. The proposal template – how to approach it, writing style and examples. Basic project management concepts and how to use them. MSCA calls in 2025
Here is an overview of the open Marie Sklodowska Curie Actions (MSCA) calls for 2025:
1.) MSCA PF (Postdoctoral fellowships) - Fellowships enhance the creative and innovative potential of PhD researchers who wish to acquire new skills through advanced training and international, interdisciplinary and inter-sectoral mobility. MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships will be open to excellent researchers of any nationality. The scheme also encourages researchers to work on research and innovation projects in the non-academic sector. It is open to researchers wishing to reintegrate into Europe, those displaced by conflict, and researchers with high potential seeking to restart their careers in research. 2.) MSCA COFUND 2025 - Co-funding of regional, national and international programmes (COFUND) supports new or existing doctoral programmes and postdoctoral fellowship schemes. The action aims to spread the best practices of the MSCA, including international, inter-sectoral, and interdisciplinary research training, as well as international and cross-sectoral mobility of researchers at all stages of their careers. 3.) MSCA Doctoral Networks - MSCA Doctoral Networks will implement doctoral programmes through partnerships with universities, research institutions, research infrastructures, businesses, SMEs, and other socio-economic actors from countries across Europe and beyond. MSCA Doctoral Networks are open to the participation of organisations from third countries, fostering strategic international partnerships to train and exchange researchers. More information here.

4.) MSCA Staff Exchanges - MSCA Staff Exchanges involve organisations from the academic and non-academic sectors (including SMEs) from across the globe. 5.) MSCA and Citizens: European Researchers' Night and Researchers at Schools 2026-2027 - MSCA and Citizens aims to bring research and researchers closer to the public to increase awareness of research and innovation activities and boost public recognition of science and research education. It will show the role of the researcher in society and the economy, as well as the impact of researchers’ work on citizens’ daily lives. It also aims to raise the interest of young people in research and scientific careers. MSCA and Citizens will address the general public, attracting people regardless of the level of their scientific background, with a specific focus on families, pupils, students, and notably those who do not have easy access to, and thus are less inclined to engage in, STEAM fields (science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics) or research activities. Inclusiveness should be key because it broadens access to science and research for all. More information here.
