TA CR and MO CR PRODEF Program: Announcement of the 2nd public competition, subprogram 2

The Technology Agency of the Czech Republic (TA ČR), in cooperation with the Ministry of Defence, has announced the second public competition in the Programme for the Support of Applied Research and Innovation in the Defence Industry PRODEF, sub-programme 2 "National Public Competitions in Defence Research" with the deadline for submission of proposals on 22 July 2026.

The public competition in sub-programme 2 is aimed at supporting applied research and innovation projects in the field of modern emerging and breakthrough technologies usable for the needs of the Army of the Czech Republic. The results of the projects will have high potential for application in a number of civilian and military areas, the so-called dual use (use for civilian and military purposes).

The Czech Science Foundation (GA CR) - preparing a call with Israel

The Czech Science Foundation (GA CR) will launch the first joint call in September 2026 in cooperation with the Israeli Science Foundation (ISF).

The evaluation will be carried out by a Lead Agency – the project proposals will be assessed by the ISF, which will submit the evaluation results to the CSF.

The call will be open to all fields of basic research. Project proposals will be counted towards the limit of concurrent project proposals for 2028.

How to make a competitive project proposal for the MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships 2026 call

The Prague Technology Center invites applicants to this year's MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships call for a two-day online workshop on June 10 and 11, 2026 (8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.).

The first day of the event will be an information seminar to better understand the rules of participation. On the second day, participants will work with a sample project proposal from previous years.

Registration is open until June 1, 2026.

To participate in the information seminar, online registration is sufficient. If you are interested in participating in the workshop on the second day, please also provide the applicant's CV, an abstract of the planned project, and a confidentiality statement.

Call for support for bilateral projects Czech Republic – France

The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports CR has announced a call for applications for a subsidy for the implementation of bilateral research, development and innovation projects between the Czech Republic and France as part of the activity Support for the mobility of researchers with a duration of 2027-2028.
