Horizon Europa
MSCA calls in 2025
Here is an overview of the open Marie Sklodowska Curie Actions (MSCA) calls for 2025:
1.) MSCA PF (Postdoctoral fellowships) - Fellowships enhance the creative and innovative potential of PhD researchers who wish to acquire new skills through advanced training and international, interdisciplinary and inter-sectoral mobility. MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships will be open to excellent researchers of any nationality. The scheme also encourages researchers to work on research and innovation projects in the non-academic sector. It is open to researchers wishing to reintegrate into Europe, those displaced by conflict, and researchers with high potential seeking to restart their careers in research. For more information, see a separate post here.
Call opening: 8.5.2025
Call deadline: 10.9.2025
2.) MSCA COFUND 2025 - Co-funding of regional, national and international programmes (COFUND) supports new or existing doctoral programmes and postdoctoral fellowship schemes. The action aims to spread the best practices of the MSCA, including international, inter-sectoral, and interdisciplinary research training, as well as international and cross-sectoral mobility of researchers at all stages of their careers. More information here.
Call opening: 23.1.2025
Call deadline: 24.6.2025
3.) MSCA Doctoral Networks - MSCA Doctoral Networks will implement doctoral programmes through partnerships with universities, research institutions, research infrastructures, businesses, SMEs, and other socio-economic actors from countries across Europe and beyond. MSCA Doctoral Networks are open to the participation of organisations from third countries, fostering strategic international partnerships to train and exchange researchers. More information here.
Call opening: 28.5.2025
Call deadline: 25.11.2025
4.) MSCA Staff Exchanges - MSCA Staff Exchanges involve organisations from the academic and non-academic sectors (including SMEs) from across the globe. Support is provided for international, inter-sectoral and interdisciplinary mobility of R&I staff, leading to knowledge transfer between participating organisations. More information here.
Call opening: 27.3.2025
Call deadline: 8.10.2025
5.) MSCA and Citizens: European Researchers' Night and Researchers at Schools 2026-2027 - MSCA and Citizens aims to bring research and researchers closer to the public to increase awareness of research and innovation activities and boost public recognition of science and research education. It will show the role of the researcher in society and the economy, as well as the impact of researchers’ work on citizens’ daily lives. It also aims to raise the interest of young people in research and scientific careers. MSCA and Citizens will address the general public, attracting people regardless of the level of their scientific background, with a specific focus on families, pupils, students, and notably those who do not have easy access to, and thus are less inclined to engage in, STEAM fields (science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics) or research activities. Inclusiveness should be key because it broadens access to science and research for all. More information here.
Call opening: 17.6.2025
Call deadline: 22.10.2025
