Visegrad Grants is a grant program run and financed by the International Visegrad Fund aimed at fostering cooperation between the V4 countries (Czechia, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia).

Objectives

Proposals are accepted regularly three times per year always by February 1, June 1 and October 1.

Project partners:

Visegrad Grants

• active participation of organizations from at least 3 V4 countries (3xV4; Czechia, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia)

 Visegrad+ Grants

• 3xV4 and at least 1 organization from Western Balkans countries : Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia OR Eastern Partnership countries:  Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine

Both types of grants:

• in case of cross-border cooperation of at least 2 organizations from 2 neighboring V4 countries
• no project can be scheduled to start before at least 80 working days (ca. 4 months) after the deadline and before signing the grant contract
• maximum duration of project - 18 months
• grants can cover up to 100% of project budget with 15% for overheads (co-financing is allowed and encouraged)
• projects must address at least one of the objectives of the grant program´s seven focus areas (see Documents):

2. Education and Capacity Building
3. Innovation, R&D, Entrepreneurship
4. Democratic Values and the Media
5. Public Policy, Legislation and Justice
6. Regional Development, Environment and Tourism
7. Social Development

Strategic grants

• active participation of organizations from all V4 countries
• duration 12-36 months
• projects must clearly address one of the annual strategic priorities 

Limitations

Organizations with running projects cannot apply in the same grant program again until the previous project is concluded. It is, however, possible to be a partner in any number of projects. A grantee can have a maximum of two running projects at the same time, in different grant schemes.
