In the name of CENTREPEACE (Horizon Europe - Twinning), we would like to invite you to the lecture on the topic "Art of Academic Publishing: Do's and Dont's."
The guests of this lecture will be Monika Brusenbauch Meislová from the Faculty of Social Studies and Katarína Šipulová from the Faculty of Law.
The lecture will be about how to choose the right journal and topic for the journal, and how to face issues during the writing, publishing and reviewing. It will also present tips and tricks for writing and publishing.

Bios of speakers:
Monika Brusenbauch Meislová is Associate Professor at the Department of International Relations and European Studies and the International Institute of Political Science at Masaryk University (Czech Republic) and Visiting Professor at Aston University (United Kingdom). She holds the prestigious Jean Monnet Chair in EU Digital Diplomacy awarded by the European Commission and is an associate member of the Centre for Research on the English-Speaking World (CREW) at Sorbonne-Nouvelle University in Paris. She serves as an editor of the Journal of International Relations and Development (Palgrave Macmillan, Springer; WOS Q1) and of the Contemporary European Studies book series (Routledge), in addition to being a member of editorial boards of several academic journals, including the Journal of Contemporary European Studies (Routledge, Taylor & Francis). Her most recent work has been published in various top-ranking journals such as the Journal of European Public Policy, International Affairs, Journal of Common Market Studies, or the British Journal of Politics and International Relations. She is also a member of the Scientific Council of the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs and participates in a number of international research projects. She has received several awards for her research, including the MUNI Scientist Award or the FSS Dean’s Award.
Katarína Šipulová is a legal scholar and political scientist specializing in constitutional courts, judicial governance, and the rule of law. She is the Head of the Judicial Studies Institute at the Faculty of Law, Masaryk University, and holds degrees from Masaryk University and the University of Oxford. Her research explores the transformation of judicial power in post-communist Europe and the role of courts in democratic backsliding, with publications in leading journals such as the Regulation & Governance, Law & Policy, European Constitutional Law Review and the German Law Journal. Dr. Šipulová is actively involved in international academic networks, including the ICON-S and the ECPR Standing Group on Law and Courts, and has experience as a peer reviewer for several prominent journals, such as International Journal of Transitional Justice, International Journal of Constitutional Law, Law & Social Inquiry, and many others. She also teaches a methodological course aimed at empirical socio-legal research for PhD students at the Law Faculty, Masaryk University, helping young researchers to develop and refine their dissertation projects as well as scholarly work for international publication.
