The Ministry of the Interior has announced the second public tender of the IMPAKT 1 program on the topic of artificial intelligence as a means of increasing the capacity of security forces to perform tasks in ensuring the security of the state and its citizens.

The deadline is May 3, 2021.

Objectives

Thematic focus - main areas:

A. Testbeds and datasets to support the development of security innovations

B. Demonstrators and pilots of specific applications

C. Preparation for social impacts and challenges associated with the deployment of AI in society

Across the individual thematic areas, projects in the following priority areas will be supported:
AI for cyber and information security
AI in the fight against serious crime
AI for CBRN protection
AI for disaster risk prevention

Applicants:
research organizations only (minimum two)

The application guarantor (min. 1 in the proposal) can be security forces, central state administration bodies or their components, as well as territorial self-governing units (basic and higher), which are suppliers of relevant data to ensure maximum usability of project results.

Duration and support:

• min for 36 months (the end of the project no later than 31.12.2025)
• support up to 100%
• overhead only max 10% (flat rate, faculty overhead is now 16.59%).
