Announcement of the call in the INTER-EXCELLENCE II programme, sub-programme INTER-ACTION - LUAUS24 (bilateral projects Czech Republic-USA)

Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic announces LUAUS24 - Bilateral Projects Czech Republic - United States of America competition.

Objectives

Joint projects from all scientific areas in the categories of basic research, industrial research and experimental development will be supported.

MEYS finances the Czech part of the project.

There is no central source of funding for Czech-American cooperation in the USA. The U.S. partner must secure funding for the U.S. portion of the project either from:

- own institution

- the relevant grant agency

- or from private agencies/other sources.

Limitations

The intention of cooperation between the Czech applicant and its American partner on the research project will be documented by an annex to the project proposal "Letter of Intent" signed by the American partner.

The proposal should be submitted in Czech via the application https://isix.msmt.cz/

Duration: 3-5 years (starting no earlier than 1 March 2024, ending no later than 31 December 2028)

Approximately 35 projects are expected to be supported, max amount of support per project is not limited, support up to 100% for the research organization.

Overhead max 25%.

The applicant can be a research organisation, small, medium or large enterprise; one additional participant on the Czech side max.

The proposal must be signed by a statutory representative.

Expected results (min one): Jimp, Jsc, B, P, F, G, R, Z
