The aim of the call is to improve scientific cooperation between the Czech Republic and the Free State of Bavaria, to support cooperation between young researchers from the Czech Republic and Bavaria in particular, and to motivate scientists from both countries to submit bilateral and multilateral research proposals.

Objectives

The competition is open to basic and applied research projects in the following areas:

• materials science and nanotechnology,
• engineering, in particular electrical engineering, information technology and artificial intelligence, industry 4.0 and 5G technologies,
• medical sciences and health care,
• social, cultural and social sciences.

Information and forms for applicants from the Czech Republic will be available on the MEYS website.
Information and a form for applicants from Bavaria are available on the BTHA website.

Proposals for joint projects will be submitted simultaneously by the Czech and the Bavarian part of the research team. The selection of projects takes place simultaneously in both countries.

Limitations

Evidence of the intention of cooperation between the Czech applicant and his Bavarian partner will be documented - "Letter of Intent".

Implementation period max 30 months (1.7.2022-31.12.2024 max).

The maximum amount of support for the Czech part of one project - CZK 1.2 million.

Overhead max 25%.

About 10 projects will be supported.

Applicant - research institution.

The project is prepared in Czech, the signature of the Rector is required.
