TA CR announced the fourth public tender in the Program for the Support of Applied Research, Experimental Development and Innovation THETA.

The main goal of the program is to contribute to the fulfillment of the vision of transformation and modernization of the energy sector in accordance with the approved strategic materials. This will be achieved through the support of energy research, development and innovation projects aimed at improving the governance of the energy sector by public administrations, new technologies and system elements with high potential for rapid application in practice, as well as long-term technological perspectives.

Objectives

Sub-program 1 - Research in the public interest

proposals according to the needs of public administration in the field of energy and will offer such outputs / results that public administration will use especially in the creation of methodologies, strategic and conceptual documents, regulatory frameworks, etc.

Subprogram 2 - Strategic energy technologies

support in the field of energy technologies and system elements with high potential for rapid application in new products, production processes and services (application potential, commercialization).

Subprogram 3 - Long-term technological perspectives

support for long-term technological perspectives in the field of energy, which will be implemented through research organizations in particular.

Limitations

• Start of implementation: January 2022 at the earliest and February 2022 at the latest
• Implementation duration: PP1 and PP2 - 12–48 months; PP3 - 36-48 months
• The maximum amount of support per project: PP1 CZK 10 million, PP2, PP3 is not set
• Maximum aid intensity per project: PP1 90%, PP2 60%, PP3 90% (VO up to 100%)
• PP1 - necessary application guarantor (Letter of Intent attached to the proposal)
• Expected allocation for the public tender: PP1 CZK 75 million, PP2 CZK 400 million, PP3 CZK 170 million
