The aim of the challenge is to increase the involvement of young researchers and to equalize opportunities for women and men in the competition of applied research.
The public competition is aimed at supporting the cooperation of beginning researchers in solving specific projects directly with entities from application practice.

Objectives

The project must be in line with one of the research topics:

1. Telemedicine;
2. AI and sustainable mobility;
3. Manufacturing technology and materials;
4. Community energy and its management systems, small-scale energy storage.

Limitations

There must be at least one enterprise and at least one research organization in the consortium.

Duration of project implementation 12-24 months.

Key persons of the research team in the role of principal researcher/member of the research team must meet the definition of a beginning researcher. These are persons under 35 years of age or studying bachelor's, master's, doctoral studies or graduates, if
a maximum of 5 years have passed since the first proper completion of the highest degree of study. These parameters must be met by March 27, 2024.

Each beginning researcher can be a key person in a maximum of two submitted project proposals in this public competition.

One mentor can be involved (but does not have to), maximum reward for him is 50,000. CZK/year.

Max intensity of support per project 85%.

The maximum amount of support for one project is CZK 5 million, overhead 25%.

Start of solution 11/2024 - 1/2025.
