TA CR - Environment for Life Program 2: Announcement of the 1st public competition
TA CR announced the first public competition of the Environment for Life 2 program.
The aim of the Environment for Life 2 program is, through R&D, to bring new knowledge and new solutions that will contribute to ensuring a healthy, safe and resilient environment for the good life of people and the sustainable development of society (including the related necessary socio-economic transformation), as well as to the effective use of natural resources ( including the development of a circular economy) and the minimization of risks arising from human activity for the environment and climate, and finally to improve the protection of nature and the Czech landscape.
Objectives
TA CR announced the first public competition in two sub-programmes:
Sub-programme 1 Innovation and operational research in the public interest (PP1) is aimed at supporting projects in the public interest, both in the field of research and development and in the field of innovation in the public sector, especially in public administration. The aim is to simplify, improve and make public administration in the field of environment and climate protection more efficient, create an environment for promoting the principles of circular economy and sustainable development in the public sector.
Sub-programme 2 New solutions for the economy, environment and society (PP2) is focused on new procedures, technologies, services and, in general, new solutions with a high potential for rapid application in social, economic and environmental practice, including climate protection. Through the support of applied research, development and innovation in subprogramme 2, technologies, techniques and procedures will be created that will contribute to increasing the competitiveness of companies, the innovativeness of the public sector and the attractiveness of the Czech Republic as a company developing with the use of innovative solutions.
Limitations
Applicants: research organisation, company, organizational component of the state, territorial self-governing unit
Each proposal must fulfill one priority research objective (PRO), at least one project will be supported in each PRO in PP1.
PP1: required external application guarantor linked to a priority research goal - application for application guarantee must be sent by 5/22/2024
PP2: the applicability of the outputs is demonstrated in the proposal by the interest of a specific subject, it is possible to attach a Letter of Intent. It is mandatory to attach a market survey.
Start of project solution: January 2025 at the earliest and March 2025 at the latest
Duration of project solution: PP1 12–36 months; PP2 12-48 months
The latest deadline for completing the project solution: PP1 February 2028; PP2 February 2029
Maximum amount of support per project: PP1 CZK 12 million; PP2 CZK 15 million.
Maximum support intensity per project: PP1 85%; PP2 75%. Research organisation - up to 100%.
