MARIE SKŁODOWSKA-CURIE INDIVIDUAL FELLOWSHIPS

The goal of the Individual Fellowships is to enhance the creative and innovative potential of experienced researchers, wishing to diversify their individual competence in terms of skill acquisition through advanced training, international and intersectoral mobility.

 

Objectives

The Marie Skłodowska-Curie actions (MSCA) aim to support the career development and training of researchers in all scientific disciplines through international and intersectoral mobility.  

EUROPEAN FELLOWSHIPS (EF)

  • Standard European Fellowships (EF-ST): The researcher must move or have moved from any country to EU Member States (MS) and Associated Countries (AC) where the beneficiary is located. 12-24 months.
  • Career Restart Panel (EF-CAR): The researcher must move or have moved from any country to the MS or AC where the beneficiary is located and must have had a career break in research, i.e. they were not active in research for a continuous period of 12 months within the eighteen months immediately prior to the deadline for submission of proposals. 12-36 months. 
  • Reintegration Panel (EF-RI): The researcher must move or have moved directly from a TC (non-associated Third Countries) to the MS or AC where the beneficiary is located. 12-24 months.
  • Society & Enterprise Panel (EF-SE): Opportunities for researchers seeking to work on research and innovation projects in an organisation from the non-academic sector. The researcher must move or have moved from any country to the MS or AC where the beneficiary is located.The beneficiary must be an entity from the non-academic sector. 12-24 months.

GLOBAL FELLOWSHIPS (GF) are based on an outgoing phase during which the researcher undertakes mobility to a partner organisation in a TC for a period of between 12 and 24 months, followed by a mandatory 12-month return period to the beneficiary located in a MS or AC. The beneficiary must be located in an MS or AC, and,  b.  The partner organisation for the outgoing phase must be located in a TC and is the entity where the outgoing phase takes place. 24-36 months.

Limitations

Intended for Experienced Researcher - in possession of a doctoral degree or has at least four years of full-time equivalent research experience at the date of the call deadline. The researcher may be of any nationality. 

EF-ST: The researcher cannot have resided or carried out his/her main activity (work, studies, etc.) in the country of the beneficiary for more than 12 months in the three years immediately before the call deadline.

EF-CAR, EF-RI: The researcher cannot have resided or carried out the main activity (work, studies, etc.) in the country of the beneficiary for more than three years in the five years immediately before the call deadline.

GF: The researcher cannot have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in the country of the TC partner organisation where the outgoing phase takes place for more than 12 months in the three years immediately before the call deadline.
