The Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic announces the first public competition in the program Strategic Support for the Development of Security Research in the Czech Republic 2026-2031 (IMPAKT 2) subprogram 1 of the Center for Cooperation in Security Research.

Announcement of the first public competition in subprogram 1 - Research

The call is intended to support the further development of consortia created within the framework of previous security research projects and the establishment of new consortia - Center for Cooperation in Security Research.

Objectives

Thematic focus of the call:

Investigation of serious and organized crime o development of knowledge and capabilities of law enforcement agencies in relation to serious and/or organized crime, with an emphasis on new trends associated with the transfer of a significant part of these phenomena to the online environment and on the maximum use of new technological possibilities within the framework of socially accepted ethical standards, including the development of effective criminal and resocialization policies,

Cybersecurity o development of tools and procedures for strengthening cybersecurity and data protection with an emphasis on maintaining the availability of critical infrastructure services and the integrity of critical information infrastructure information through prevention, detection, early warning, response and forensic analysis of cyber attacks,

Protection against chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear threats o development of the capabilities of the security system for managing chemical, biological, nuclear or radiological threats with an emphasis on preventing the emergence and management of related crisis and emergency situations and overall preparedness for these situations,

Disaster risk reduction and strengthening the resilience of society o development of preparedness security forces, key social systems and communities with an emphasis on the protection of responding personnel, operational management, the preparedness of public space (public and information), risk groups and cities for managing anthropogenic and natural crises and their possible impacts on individuals, society or the environment.
