The Grant Agency of the Czech Republic (GA CR) announces a call for submission of projects based on the Lead Agency evaluation principle with the expected start of implementation in 2025. The call concerns projects financed in cooperation with the Polish agency National Science Center (NCN) within the framework of the Weave initiative.

In this call, the Polish agency NCN acts as the Lead Agency, i.e. it evaluates the project proposals from a scientific point of view, and the GA CR takes over the results of the evaluation process.

Objectives

The possibility of submitting bi- and trilateral projects in the field of basic research to NCN as lead agency.

Limitations

Projects submitted to this call will be included in the maximum number of project proposals submitted to calls with the expected start of implementation in 2025 (ie submitted in the spring call of the Czech Republic GA in 2024). The applicant for the Czech side in the LA project with NCN will no longer be able to submit a proposal as a applicant in the spring (2024) GA CR call, they will only be able to be a co-applicant or a team member.

The deadline for submission of proposals on the Polish side (to the NCN) is 15/12/2023, the deadline for submission of the Czech part of the proposal in GRIS (part of the application about the applicant and the budget, instead of C1 the Polish proposal will be attached) will be 22/12/2023.
