GA CR announced the new competition for submitting proposals for standard projects, EXPRO, JUNIOR STAR, PIF (Incoming, Outgoing), international and LA projects with a deadline on April 7, 2022.

EXPRO

The aim is to support the conditions for the development of excellent research.

5 years/50 mil. CZK, a team member has to submit an ERC by the end of a project

JUNIOR STAR

Aims at excelent scientists at the beginning of their career to establish an independent group
for excellent junior researcher up to 8 years after PhD (PhD awarded after 30.9.2014 or PhD will be awarded before 30.9.2022)
the Applicant - an author of articles in prestigious international journals and must already have substantial international experience
max CZK 25 million per 5 years

POSTDOC INDIVIDUAL FELLOWSHIP OUTGOING, 3 years

applicant should be an outstanding researcher in his/her early career up to 4 years after PhD (PhD awarded after 30.9.2018 or will be awarded until 30.9. 2022)
the expected duration of the fellowship is 730 days abroad (minimum 670 days abroad, at one institution only)
after the completion of the fellowship abroad, the applicant must continue to carry out the project at the institution of the beneficiary in CR for a minimum of 365 days

POSTDOC INDIVIDUAL FELLOWSHIP INCOMING, 3 years

applicants should be outstanding researchers in the early stages of their careers up to 4 years after PhD 
with long-term experience abroad in basic research (a minimum of 2 of the last 3 years)

The applicant may not be employed by any scientific institution in the Czech Republic during the competition period.

Limitations

One person can submit in 2022 within all GA CR calls:

- one proposal as the applicant and one project as the co-applicant (= main representative of another organization from the Czech Republic involved in the project)

- a person who submits a proposal JUNIOR STAR (JS) or EXPRO or POSTOC INDIVIDUAL FELLOWSHIP (PIF) (can submit only one of them), can submit one proposal as a applicant and another proposal as a co-applicant in other calls of the GA CR in 2022.

BUT one investigator can solve only JS OR PIF OR EXPRO OR one other project GA CR as an investigator + one project as a co-investigator.

The sum of all work capacities allocated for the implementation of all projects supported by the GA CR may not exceed 1.00 per employee.
