The European Digital UniverCity (EDUC) Alliance just launched its second call for research projects, offering applicants the opportunity to request access to EDUC research infrastructures. The call is open to PhD candidates and researchers from EDUC universities. Applications can be submitted until 27 February 2026. Objectives

The aim of this call for proposals is to stimulate direct interactions between EDUC partners and promote the existing core facilities across the consortium, namely in the Widening countries (Masaryk University, Czech Republic; University of Pécs, Hungary; and Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University, Ukraine). Researchers and Ph.D. candidates from the EDUC consortium are invited to propose research projects that can be implemented utilising available core facilities. Within one project proposal, the applicant can ask for one or more services/technologies from one or more EDUC partners participating in the call.

Limitations

All projects must be implemented by 15th November 2026.

Travel to the host institution is strongly recommended, but not mandatory. Applicants may choose to send their samples directly to the respective core facility instead of visiting the core facility where the activities (e.g. measurements) are conducted. While travel is not part of the evaluation criteria, the on-site presence of researchers/PhD candidates is highly valued, as it fosters new collaborative opportunities between the researchers/PhD candidates of the EDUC network.
