The EUKI launches its 7th call for ideas to realise ambitious climate policies in Europe. The application phase for project ideas to accelerate climate action in Europe opened on 25 November. Non-profit organisations from civil society, academia, the private sector, education and municipalities will have until 13 January 2023 to submit their proposals.

Objectives

Projects shall cover one of EUKI’s seven new topics: Climate Policy, Energy Policy, Socially Just Transition/Just Transition, Climate-Neutral Mobility, Climate-Friendly Financing, Sustainable Economy, CO2 Removals and Sinks.

Target countries: Central, Eastern and South-Eastern Europe (POL, CZE, SVK, HUN, ROU, BUL, SVN, HRV, GRC) including Baltic states (LVA, LTU, EST) and six Western Balkan states (ALB, BIH, KOS, MNE, MKD, SRB). Most of the project financing (>50%) must be allocated to implementers and implementing partners in the target countries 

Limitations

The funding amount per project is between EUR 120,000 and EUR 1,000,000. for 18 and 29 months.

Projects are expected to start in 2023 (from November onwards) and must be concluded in March 2026 at the latest.

Overheads max 11%.

Two-stage-selection procedure. The projects provisionally selected will be asked to submit a full project proposal, probably in June 2023. More information and a form here.
