New obligation when creating a proposal in ISEP:
The Basic Data tab contains a signpost (Knowledge security YES x NO) that decides whether the Security tab will be generated (in the case of a risky field or cooperation with a risky state, a citizen of such a state).
The Security tab contains more detailed information and after filling it in, the data must be saved and submitted for comment (recommendation x non-recommendation) to the security manager no later than 14 days before submitting the project proposal.
Changes in the project - individual consultation with the security manager is required. The tab cannot be edited after submission for comment.

GA ČR
In the first half of February, GA CR will announce the Standard Projects, POSTDOC INDIVIDUAL FELLOWSHIP, Return Grants and International Calls competitions. A few weeks later, around the beginning of March, it will announce the EXPRO and JUNIOR STAR competitions for excellent scientists.
Within all competitions and calls announced by GA CR, it will be possible to submit a maximum of three project proposals (in the role of proposer or co-proposer - i.e. the main proposer for the second institution in the proposal), and a maximum of one project proposal in each of the following categories:
a) Standard Projects, International Projects and LA Grants;
b) JUNIOR STAR and EXPRO;
c) POSTDOC INDIVIDUAL FELLOWSHIP (INCOMING and OUTGOING) and Return Grants.
The limits do not apply to the involvement of scientists as members of the proposal/project team.
However, it will be possible to solve only one project with the beginning of the solution in 2027.

EKV
EKV activities in the period February/March 2026
Due to the coincidence of the competition deadlines for the GAČR and AZV grant calls, for capacity reasons, EKV will be able to deal exclusively with the assessment of projects for these calls from the end of February to the beginning of April 2026. The duration of the assessment of other projects will be extended by this period. For applications submitted by 10 February 2026, the assessment will begin in February and any comments on the settlement will probably be sent to the proposer by the end of February. The assessment will then continue after the assessment of projects for the GAČR and AZV calls has been completed, i.e. probably in April. For applications submitted to EKV after 10 February 2026, the assessment will begin only after the assessment of projects for the GAČR and AZV calls has been completed. More precise dates will be known only after the announcement of the AZV and GAČR calls and the determination of the assessment schedule in connection with the duration of the competition deadlines for the individual calls.
Recommendations for submitting EKV applications
We recommend submitting EKV applications at least 6 weeks before the planned start of the project. In the case of project proposals for grant agencies that do not require submission of approval by the ethics committee for the project proposal, at least 4 weeks before the end of the competition period.
The duration of the application assessment is individual depending on the complexity of the assessed project, it depends on the quality and completeness of the submitted documents and, in the case of a comment procedure, it also depends on the responsiveness of the proposer in resolving the committee's comments.
