TA ČR announced the SIGMA SHUV call with DL 18. 3. 2026.

Applicants will choose one research topic from 4 areas in their project proposal. In the project proposal, they will describe how their project proposal fulfills the focus of this research topic. Applicants must indicate how they respond to the presented type of real problem and what specific changes or benefits their proposed solutions should bring.

It is desirable to connect SHUV (the core of the project) with technologies and technological research, and proposals should strive for interdisciplinary cooperation.

Objectives

Areas and research topics:

Disinformation and cognitive security ○ Mapping the vulnerability of different population groups to disinformation and manipulation; ○ Exploring the impact of disinformation on population trust in institutions; ○ Understanding the mechanisms of the spread of manipulations and the roles of individual actors.

Safe and adaptable public space ○ Designing motivational and incentive systems for compliance with security standards; ○ Understanding the psychological and cultural patterns of people's behavior during crises; ○ Strengthening the roles of municipalities and self-governments in security management.

Local economic resilience ○ Assessing the impacts of crises on the local economy and households; ○ Removing barriers and strengthening motivation for building local resilience; ○ Developing tools for restoring businesses and services after a crisis; ○ Developing mechanisms for monitoring and reducing regional economic inequalities.
Community cohesion, resilience, trust and security ○ Investigating trust in institutions based on crisis experiences, identifying causes of distrust in warning messages and proposing preventive measures; ○ Creating a platform and tool for sharing crisis experiences in communities.

Limitations

Each proposal must have exactly one application guarantor (internal – in the project consortium, a company, or external – without a budget and it cannot be a company, the Letter of Intent will provide) based in the Czech Republic, whose task is to apply the outputs/results and thus ensure their practical use. We will check each AG to see if it meets the conditions, otherwise the proposal risks being rejected.

Project duration: 1/2027- max 6/2030, 12-42 months.

Support intensity per project: 80% (20% co-financing), companies have maximum support according to their size! More in the ZD.

Max support per project: 12 million CZK

Overhead: 25%

The project must achieve at least one main result – possible results described here, pp. 9-11.

The person who will establish and submit a proposal on behalf of the organization must be registered in SISTA using a bank identity and connected to the given organization and confirmed by the administrator of the organization, more here News in submitting a project proposal in SISTA - Technology Agency of the Czech Republic. Who of the proposers does not have registration in SISTA and connection with MU, we can look into it together.
