The call targets the support of discipline‑specific and interdisciplinary activities related to the implementation of the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) initiative in the Czech Republic, in accordance with the strategic document Architecture of EOSC Implementation in the Czech Republic.

Objectives

Its aim is to involve a broader research community in the activities of the Open Science II project, particularly in the areas of FAIRification of research data, metadata and repositories, standardisation and system compatibility, and other processes essential for the functioning of the National Data Infrastructure (NDI).

Supported mini‑projects may be implemented by the beneficiary, project partners, as well as other institutions participating outside the formal partnership.

Timeline

• Evaluation of applications: 22 February – 24 March 2026
• Final deadline for mini‑project submission: 31 March 2026

Financial Conditions

• Co‑funding: at least 10% of eligible costs
• Indirect costs are set at 15% and will be used to cover faculty overheads. Any remaining difference will be waived for the department.
• Maximum funding: CZK 4,500,000
• Duration: 6 weeks to 18 months
• Focus: modification or development of a repository and related processes (not a scientific research project)

Each mini‑project application must include a statement from the relevant EOSC CZ Working Group (WG).
