Masaryk University announces the call for the Internal Competition for Return Grants Back2MUNI, which is intended for students of the doctoral study program at MU and academic and research staff with a Ph.D. degree returning to scientific work after a career break.

The grant can be obtained by persons who have been on a career break for at least 180 days before the start of the project implementation (e.g. due to parental leave, caring for a loved one or long-term illness), or who have returned from it less than 12 months ago. During the break, they were not allowed to work at all or at a maximum of 0.3 full-time hours on average.

Objectives

The projects will be implemented in the period from 1. 1. 2027 to 31. 12. 2028 with a working time of 0.5–1.0 FTE. The support includes the personal costs of the researcher, a contribution to the care of a child or close person and other direct costs of the project.

The workplace participates in the financing by 10% co-financing.

The mandatory output is at least one publication in the Open Science regime. The project also requires the researcher to ensure further work after its completion.
