Open Science II mini-intentions - notice of call for cooperation No. 2
The call follows on from the activities of the Open Science II project and is aimed at supporting discipline-specific and interdisciplinary activities within the framework of the implementation of the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) initiative in the Czech Republic in accordance with the conceptual document Architecture of EOSC Implementation in the Czech Republic.
Objectives
The aim of the call is to involve the wider research community in the activities of the Open Science II project, especially in the areas of FAIRification of research data, metadata and repositories, standardization and compatibility of systems, their interconnection and other activities necessary for the functioning of the National Data Infrastructure (NDI).
Outputs needed to ensure a data-oriented research environment are supported, which contribute to the fulfillment of the FAIR principles and the development of the National Data Infrastructure. The outputs must correspond to one of the defined field or thematic clusters of EOSC CZ.

Limitations
Submission of requests for the opinion of the WG EOSC CZ, which will subsequently be a mandatory annex to the application for a mini-project: send the completed application no later than September 17, 2026, by 8:00 AM to Jitka Hotárková (jitka.hotarkova@fss.muni.cz). The working group must confirm the relevance of the planned output with respect to the goals of EOSC and the development of a data-oriented research environment.
Announcement of the call and availability of applications in the Charles University Science Information System: 1. 9. 2026
Receipt of applications for mini-projects: 23. 11. 2026 from 9:00 a.m. to 30. 11. 2026 until 1:00 p.m.
Co-financing: min. 10% of total eligible expenses (paid by the workplace where the project is implemented)
Minimum amount of eligible expenses: 300,000 CZK
Maximum amount of eligible expenses: 4,500,000 CZK
Mini-project duration: 6 weeks - 18 months
Earliest implementation start date: 1. 7. 2027
Latest implementation end date: 31. 12. 2028
